Techtorium
Site rebuild for a tertiary IT training institute in Newmarket, Auckland.
In build. This page describes work that is not yet live. It says what is planned and what is done, and will be updated when the work ships.
Client, problem and scope
- Client
- Techtorium, a tertiary IT training institute in Newmarket, Auckland. It teaches New Zealand Diplomas in IT from technical support through cloud management and software development, with an 87 percent qualification completion rate, by Techtorium's own account.
- The problem
- Their web presence ran on an ageing platform, and every enquiry left the site as a CSV export that someone processed by hand.
- Role and scope
- I'm rebuilding the site on Vercel and Supabase, with separate staging and production environments, and routing enquiries into the tools the team already uses. Delivered remotely from Reading to Auckland.
- Delivery state
- In build.
The solution in use
The homepage above shows the build in progress. Nothing is in front of students yet, and the enquiry pipeline is not live.
What was built
-
Site rebuild
A rebuild on Vercel and Supabase to replace the ageing platform. In build.
-
Staging and production
Separate staging and production environments for the new site.
-
Enquiry pipeline
Enquiries will be routed into the tools the team already uses, so the manual CSV export disappears entirely. Planned.
Important decisions
The enquiry pipeline goes direct into the tools the team already uses rather than through a spreadsheet step. Removing the CSV export is the point of the rebuild, not a later add-on.
Staging and production are separate environments from the start.
Results
Measurement is pending.
The baseline is a manual CSV export for every enquiry, which the pipeline is built to remove.
Evidence
Nothing public yet. The site is in build.
