Sniptique
A simple clipboard history manager for macOS. Everything you copy, text, images, rich text and files, kept searchable and preserved. Paste with full fidelity or as plain text, with a single keystroke.
Version 1.0.2. macOS 14.0 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel.
What it does
Full-fidelity storage
Captures every clipboard type: text, images, rich text and files. Paste from history exactly as you copied it.
Instant search
Search your whole clipboard history in under 50 ms with SQLite FTS5 indexing. Start typing to filter. No need to click a search field.
Two popup modes
A quick popover with Cmd+Shift+V, or a resizable floating panel with Option+Z for side-by-side browsing while you work.
Paste modes
Press Enter to paste with the original formatting, or Option+Enter to strip formatting and paste as plain text.
Favourites
Star items to keep them permanently. Favourites are exempt from automatic cleanup and live in their own tab.
Sensitive content detection
Optionally detect and flag credit card numbers, API keys and other sensitive data. Flagged items show a lock icon but stay searchable.
Configurable retention
Keep history for 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, a year or forever. Database size is shown in settings.
Icon and sound
A golden hurricane icon spins when you copy, with a gentle chime on each capture.
Rich content preview
Hover over any item to see a detailed preview, so you know what you will get before you paste.

- Image thumbnails with dimensions
- URL titles and favicons
- File names, sizes and icons
- Source application indicator
