Screen Dispatch
Film industry news and analysis.
Client, problem and scope
- Client
- Verve Bee Media. Screen Dispatch is a Verve Bee Media publication: a film industry news and analysis site.
- The problem
- Screen Dispatch covers the film business: news, reviews, box office, distribution and what is moving through development. It needed an editorial site built for quick publishing and reading at speed.
- Role and scope
- I built the publication platform behind it: the editorial CMS, section structure, newsletter, ad slots and SEO foundations.
- Delivery state
- Live since 2026.
The solution in use
Screen Dispatch is publishing now: news, reviews and analysis from inside the film business. The screenshot above shows the Analysis section with its article grid.
What was built
-
Editorial CMS
Writers publish news, reviews and analysis without touching code. Drafts, scheduling and images handled in one place.
-
Section structure
News, Reviews, Box Office, Distribution and Sales, Analysis, The Rewatch and Development Watch, each with its own home.
-
Built for speed
Fast page loads and clean typography, because a news site that keeps readers waiting loses them.
-
Newsletter
Sign-up and delivery for a regular dispatch to readers' inboxes, growing an audience the site owns.
-
Ad slots
Placement zones built into the templates so the publication can carry advertising without breaking the layout.
-
SEO foundations
Structured data, sitemaps and clean URLs on every article, so coverage surfaces in search from day one.
Important decisions
The platform runs on a custom-built CMS. Writers publish without touching code. Speed came first: a news site that keeps readers waiting loses them. Ad placement zones and structured data are part of the templates, so advertising and search visibility do not depend on later work.
Results
Measurement is pending. The site is live and publishing across its seven sections.
