RS Talent

A modern talent agency website.

RS Talent homepage: the headline Exceptional Talent, Every Frame over a wall of production posters, with the actor roster and gender filters below.

Client, problem and scope

Client
RS Talent, a boutique acting agency in London representing actors across film, television and theatre. Their actors have appeared in The Crown, Killing Eve, Black Mirror and Mickey 17.
The problem
The previous WordPress site was slow, clunky to update, and didn't reflect the quality of the talent they represent. Casting directors needed to browse actors quickly, filter by type, and download profile PDFs to share with production teams. The old site made all of that harder than it should have been.
Role and scope
I rebuilt the site from the ground up: design, build, actor database, filtering, PDF downloads, contact routing, and the automated pipeline that pulls actor data from Spotlight. The RS Talent team manages everything without touching code.
Delivery state
Live since 2026.

The solution in use

Casting directors land on a cinematic homepage, browse the roster, filter by gender, age range, ethnicity and skills, and download profile PDFs to share with production teams. Every actor has a dedicated profile page with headshots, bio, credits and showreel. The RS Talent team updates it all without code.

What was built

  • Actor database

Headshots, bios, credits and showreels stored in Supabase with real-time updates. Every actor gets a dedicated profile page with full credits and media.

  • Smart filtering

Filter actors by gender, age range, ethnicity and skills. Casting directors find who they need in seconds, not minutes.

  • PDF downloads

Download individual actor profiles or batch-select multiple actors and get them as a single PDF package. Built for casting workflows.

  • Spotlight integration

An automated n8n pipeline scrapes actor data from Spotlight, the industry casting database, and keeps every profile current without manual updates.

  • Contact system

reCAPTCHA-protected contact form with automated email routing via Resend. Casting enquiries go straight to the right person.

  • Production showcase

Auto-scrolling poster strip of major productions, including The Crown, Killing Eve, Black Mirror and Mickey 17, pulled from TMDB.

Built with Next.js, Supabase, n8n, Vercel, Resend and Cloudflare, among other tools.

Important decisions

The design had to feel cinematic and confident, standing out from the cold, monochrome sites that dominate the London agency landscape. The homepage leads with the productions the actors have appeared in.

Actor data comes from Spotlight through an automated pipeline rather than being retyped. That keeps profiles current and takes a recurring manual job off the agency.

Everything the agency needs to change is editable without a developer. The site was built to be run by the RS Talent team, not by me.
