Privacy

How this site handles your details.

This page covers lucasyoung.com. Each of my apps has its own privacy policy, linked from the app's page.

Last updated 11 September 2026. This site is run by Lucas Young, a sole trader based in Reading, England.

What the site collects

Nothing, unless you send it. There are no accounts and no cookies set by this site. Three forms ask for details:

  • Book a call. Your name, email address, the time you choose and an optional note about what you want to discuss.
  • Send a message. Your name, email address, the project type and budget range you pick, and your message.
  • Free website audit. The web address you want checked, your email address and, optionally, your business name.

Where it goes

  • Booking requests are stored in a scheduling system I host myself on a virtual server in the EU or UK, and produce a calendar invitation and a confirmation email. Calls take place on Google Meet, which has its own privacy terms.
  • Messages are passed by an automation service I host myself to my email inbox. Nothing is stored in the automation service beyond the run log.
  • Audit requests are processed by the same automation service, which fetches your public web address, runs speed and search checks, and emails you the report.
  • Email lands in my mailbox at lucas@lucasyoung.com.

How long it is kept

Booking and message details are kept while we are in contact and for a period after, so I can follow up on a project we discussed. Audit reports are kept for a limited period so the report can be re-sent. Ask and I will delete your details sooner.

What the site measures

This site uses Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. It counts page views and a few interactions in aggregate, such as how many people open the booking form, so I can see whether the site is useful. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the site sends nothing at all.

Hosting

The site is hosted by SiteGround. Like any web host, their servers keep standard access logs, which include your IP address and the pages requested, for their own security and operations.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Email lucas@lucasyoung.com and I will reply within a few days. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
