Techtorium is a tertiary IT training institute in Auckland and one of my current clients. Their old site ran on an ageing platform, and every enquiry left it as a CSV export that someone processed by hand.
I am rebuilding the site on Vercel and Supabase. Enquiries will flow straight into Pipedrive and Brevo through their APIs, and the person in the middle drops out of the diagram entirely.
The Techtorium version is a CSV, but the pattern is everywhere. Bookings copied from an inbox into a calendar. Orders typed from emails into accounting software. Contact details moved from a form into a spreadsheet, then from the spreadsheet into a mailing list.
Business owners do not want to learn technology, and they do not want to learn AI prompting either. They want to run their business, make more profit and be more efficient. I was making the same argument when the internet arrived, and it held.
Walk through your week and note every place a person moves information from one system into another by hand. Each one is a connection waiting to be made. You keep the people. You lose the grind.
