Hi Guys! I’m still in London, and haven’t had time to film too much this week. I’ve published another video, just summarising what I’ve been up to and talking about my plans for the future. Check it out!
Hi again guys! Two videos in the same week – what’s going on! On the 10th of August I got to attend the premiere of the new Ricky Gervais movie, Life on the Road.
So now I’m fairly well settled in London. I traveled here in August 2016… a long process of two flights and a 12 hour stopover in Hong Kong. I’ve been shooting video while I’m here, but been so busy with work that I haven’t had time to put this first video together, plus it’s a long one. Future videos will be posted more frequently, and be shorter!
Putting aside (with some difficulty) how we feel about people like Donald Trump personally, I want to talk about the way the restlessness of the masses has resulted in a culture of “it’s a bit broke, let’s throw it away and try something unknown.” We’ve seen this happen recently with Brexit, and now it looks like it’s going to happen again in the United States with the possible election of business tycoon Donald Trump as president. People are equating change with improvement, and different is not always better.
Recently the movie “Poi E: The Story of Our Song” was released as part of the New Zealand International Film Festival, and the song Poi-E has become popular again. I thought you might be interested in an untold story relating to Dalvanius and Poi-E.
It’s been a while since I’ve been able to binge a show and thoroughly enjoy it as much as I have done the new Netflix series Stranger Things. Created by the Duffer brothers, the tagline is “When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.”
3 months ago, in April 2016, I had bariatric weight loss surgery. Specifically, I had a procedure known as an “Omega Loop” or “Mini Bypass”. Or, if you’re of a medical bent, it’s called a Single Anastomosis Gastric Bypass. Terminology aside, the original plan was for me to have a full gastric bypass, but once the surgeon got in there he had to make an on-the-fly decision to alter the op.
Note: Updated the video after, ironically, the first version had audio issues!
After battling neighbors with cherry pickers and a huge lack of time, I have uploaded the first of many YouTube videos – How to Remove Background Noise in Adobe Audition CC.
That’s right! I’m starting a YouTube Channel. I’ve wanted to for a while – I think I have a lot to share, and I have lots of ideas for videos. I’ve been gearing up for it – developing a channel trailer, setting up social media accounts, and getting hardware. I have a Canon 70D, so I’ve equipped this with a Rode VideoMic Pro (no, I’m not trying to copy Casey Neistat – it’s a coincidence!). I picked up on the sweet little GoPro Hero 4 Session cameras, and luckily I have a lot of experience with the whole Adobe suite.
